The Embassy of the United States in Rabat offers young Moroccans the opportunity to engage in first-hand cultural exchange with their American peers through diverse educational and cultural exchange programs. These programs are fully-funded by the U.S. Department of State and are managed by the U.S. Embassy in Rabat and through local partners.
EducationUSA Centers promote U.S. higher education to Moroccan students by offering information about opportunities to study at accredited universities in the United States. There are currently two EducationUSA Centers in Morocco – one at AMIDEAST Rabat and the other at AMIDEAST Casablanca.
The Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE), has encouraged and facilitated academic exchange between Morocco and the United States since its founding in 1982. The prestigious Fulbright program’s many scholarship and exchange opportunities for Moroccan students, professionals, and scholars, are at the heart of MACECE’s operations.
Association Jeunesse Tamdoult pour la Culture et le Développement (AJTCD) is a youth association founded on October 2008 in Douar Rahala, Akka, Tata. It aims to create young leaders with the sense of initiative, creativity and innovation by building their self-confidence and their capacities to contribute to positive change and participate in the sustainable development process of their communities and nation. Since its creation, the association has organized many activities to benefit young people, women, and students. We have arranged cultural, educational and sports activities to support our targeted audience in increasing their participation in shaping public and social policies.
Douar Tech is a Moroccan association promoting the resilience of vulnerable young Moroccans, especially women and those living in rural and peri-urban areas, through training in entrepreneurship, web development and other technology-intensive skills. Our approach focuses on blended learning models and engaging the surrounding entrepreneurial and technological ecosystems through programmatic and other professional networking initiatives. Douar Tech’s empowerment model contributes to the socio-economic inclusion of young people from all regions of Morocco, helping them to fully seize the opportunities of the 21st century. Our programs currently focus on Moroccan youth, yet our networks span across the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region and the African continent.
Loop aims to promote STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), especially among young populations from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through non-profit programs such as robotics competitions (FIRST LEGO League, FIRST LEGO League Junior and World Robot Olympiad), initiations workshops… and by linking its forces with national and international partners, it works to raise awareness of the jobs of the future and the democratization of new technologies among young Moroccans.

Association ANOUAL was founded in 2005 by a group of young activists passionate about solving social challenges in Morocco. The organization focuses on creating innovative and impactful projects to support Moroccan youth. Their main focus is empowering young leaders through the power of social innovation and entrepreneurship to provide solutions to the challenges our society faces. In addition, Association Anoual joins its forces with other NGOs and gives them all the help and support they need to create a strong community of leaders who are ready to make an impact.
Atlas For Development is a nonprofit Moroccan organization that aims to contribute to youth and women’s empowerment in Morocco to promote civic, economic, and social-cultural rights through inclusive community projects. They seek to reinforce social dialogue between youth and decision-makers and build youth capacities through delivery of workshops on soft-skills; contribute to local sustainable development via inclusive projects; and establish a strong foothold for youth in the local governance. Their vision is a development-inspired youth hub working together to put words into actions.
Ambition Jeunes a non-profit association which aims to foster, encourage, and promote the spirit of volunteering and social work among young people as a main factor for societal development, with the intention of integrating the spirit of volunteering into youth culture and making volunteering a way of life. Their activities are rich and varied and include social, environmental, and humanitarian work, as well as cultural, sporting, artistic, and intellectual activities. Their vocation is to educate on citizenship through volunteering and intercultural exchange while connecting, sharing and working for the general interest.
Project Soar (PS) is a girl’s empowerment organization and feminist teen girls’ movement established in Morocco in 2013. Through a scalable empowerment program, called Project Soar in a Box (PSB), PS builds the capacity of teen girls to be the feminist leaders of today and tomorrow. While they have thus far worked in Morocco and Uganda, PSB is geared towards empowering marginalized adolescent girls at the grassroots level across the Global South. Its programs are spearheaded by trained local women serving as Empowerment Facilitators, who lead “squads” of teen girls through their signature 25-workshop curriculum.
